## Structure of the DELE B1 Speaking Test

The test includes four tasks:

### 1. Short presentation (2–3 minutes)

You prepare a brief monologue about a topic or headline.
You choose **one of two options**.

**Tip:** use a 3-part plan: context → opinion → example.

### 2. Conversation (3–4 minutes)

You discuss the topic from Task 1 with the interviewer.

**Key skill:** respond and justify ("porque", "por eso", "sin embargo").

### 3. Describe a photo + short conversation (2–3 minutes)

This part has **no preparation**. You choose **one of two photos** and
describe it, then interact.

**Tip:** start with a global description, then details, then interpretation.

### 4. Role-play in a simulated situation (2–3 minutes)

Based on the photo from Task 3, you act out a situation.
You receive role cards.

**Tip:** focus on turn-taking and polite requests.

## Official Evaluation Criteria

The evaluation combines:

**Holistic assessment (40%)**
Overall effectiveness and interaction.

**Analytic assessment (60%)**
Four analytic criteria:

**Coherence (Coherencia)**

**Fluency (Fluidez)**

**Accuracy (Corrección)**

**Range (Alcance)**

## Example: a safe opening for Task 1

"Hoy quiero hablar de los beneficios de hacer deporte. En mi opinión,
es importante porque mejora la salud y reduce el estrés. Por ejemplo,
yo camino todos los días y me siento con más energía."
