OralPrep publishes this comparison and is one of the services featured, so we have a commercial interest.

To prepare for all four DELF exam sections, start by looking at a platform such as PrepMyFuture or GlobalExam. For the speaking exam, OralPrep offers a complete DELF A1–B2 simulator, from the format and timing to assessment and scoring. For free B2 listening exercises, RFI Français Facile is a useful supplement. These apps and web resources serve different needs: no single tool is the best choice for everyone.
Official pages, listed prices and advertised features checked on 29 September 2026. Offers can change. PrepMyFuture’s two published B1 prices do not agree: confirm the amount and availability before buying.
Which tool fits your preparation?
Choose according to the section you find difficult, your level and the resources you already have.
- You are studying for B1 or B2 independently and want a course for all four skills: look at PrepMyFuture. Its offers describe the content in detail, but price and availability need confirmation.
- You want a study path for DELF A1–B2 with the option of classes: GlobalExam covers these levels. Check which exam and classes your chosen plan includes.
- You want to prepare for the complete speaking exam: OralPrep simulates the DELF A1–B2 format, tasks and timing, and assesses your answers using the exam criteria. Take mock exams and review your score to identify what to improve.
- You want free B2 listening exercises: use RFI Français Facile. France Éducation international also provides free official sample papers and assessment grids to help you understand the other sections.
What we checked
We consulted the services’ official pages to compare levels, skills, exercises, feedback and access conditions. For OralPrep, we also checked the scope of the features and the access conditions built into the app. OralPrep’s price is supplied by its publisher. We have not completed a full trial of every course, made purchases to confirm prices or measured the courses’ effects on exam results. Where a feature is not documented in the offer reviewed, we say so rather than assume it does not exist.
The DELF assesses listening comprehension, reading comprehension, written production and spoken production. Each skill is marked out of 25. Preparing for the speaking exam and preparing for all four exam sections are different needs. France Éducation international’s sample papers and assessment grids show what the exam expects; an automated score is still a practice aid.
OralPrep: a complete DELF speaking exam simulator
OralPrep is an iOS app that simulates the complete DELF A1, A2, B1 and B2 speaking exam: it reproduces the format, tasks and timing, and assesses your answers using the exam criteria. After the mock exam, you receive a score out of 25 and feedback to identify what to improve. The transcript lets you revisit your answers and review their content, organisation and language.
Your first evaluation is free. A pack of 12 evaluations costs €9.99.
Strengths: The exam format, timed practice and assessment in one simulator. Prepare for the speaking exam from start to finish, repeat mock exams and use the scores and feedback to guide your preparation.
Keep in mind: It is designed for the DELF A1–B2 speaking exam. To prepare for the full DELF qualification, you will need resources for the other three sections. The score is for practice, not an official DELF result.
PrepMyFuture: a course for DELF B1 or B2
The DELF B1 course advertises three mock exams, sixty study sheets and 1,500 exercises, with twelve months of access. The B2 page describes a course developed with Alliance Française de Paris and also advertises three mock exams and sixty study sheets, plus more than 1,700 questions. Both courses cover the four skills and include videos for spoken production preparation. For learners who want a programme without assembling their own exercises, this content is broader than OralPrep or the RFI resources compared here.
We could not establish a single B1 price: the course page lists €99, while the product page lists €59 and “Sold out”. These details conflict. Ask for confirmation of the applicable price and whether you can activate your chosen course; we cannot guarantee that the cheaper offer is available.
Strengths: Clearly stated content quantities, mock exams and a programme covering all four B1 or B2 skills.
Limits: The offers checked are for B1 and B2: do not buy them to prepare for a different level. Preparation videos do not establish that your own recordings will be corrected. That correction is not documented in the offers reviewed. Price and availability still need confirmation.
GlobalExam: a study path with optional classes
GlobalExam’s catalogue lists DELF A1, A2, B1 and B2, as well as DALF C1. Its DELF B1 page describes a personalised study path, mock exams, exercises with corrections, revision sheets, coaching videos and progress statistics. This tracking can help you plan your sessions and identify exercises to revisit.
The help centre distinguishes Basic, which provides online self-study, from Premium and Premium Plus, which add eight and sixteen class credits per month respectively. It describes thirty-minute individual lessons or one-hour group lessons with up to six learners and a certified teacher. This human support is an option the RFI resources compared here do not offer. Check that the available lessons suit your DELF preparation, though: we have not confirmed that they include a mock speaking exam with an examiner.
A free trial is advertised. The cost depends on the plan and duration: check the price for your selection, renewal conditions and what each class credit lets you book.
Strengths: Several levels in the catalogue, content for all four skills and progress tracking. Plans with classes may suit you if you want human support alongside the exercises.
Limits: A catalogue listing does not mean every level is included in one plan. Before paying, check the exam you can access, the access period and how speaking feedback works. Coaching videos and language classes do not guarantee correction of every recorded answer or practice specifically for the DELF interview.
RFI Français Facile: free B2 listening practice
RFI Français Facile’s DELF B2 section provides listening comprehension exercises with audio, answer keys and transcripts. France Éducation international lists this resource in its brochure about French language certifications. It lets you practise listening without buying a course.
Listen and answer the questions before reading the transcript. After checking your answers, find the passage supporting each answer and listen to it again. This helps you practise understanding ideas and details rather than simply reading the audio’s text.
Strengths: Free access and the ability to revisit passages you misunderstood using the answer keys and transcripts.
Limits: The B2 resources reviewed focus on listening comprehension. They are not a programme for all four sections and do not provide correction of your spoken or written production.
How can you fill gaps without buying more than you need?
Start with an official sample paper for your level from France Éducation international. It will help you understand the instructions and identify the section that needs most work. If you already use PrepMyFuture or GlobalExam, make full use of the resources included in your access first. Add another tool only for a specific need your course does not cover.
At B2, use RFI for listening comprehension and OralPrep for complete speaking mock exams. If you are preparing for the full DELF qualification, add resources for reading comprehension and written production.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best app for DELF preparation?
For preparation across all four skills, look at PrepMyFuture for B1 or B2, or GlobalExam for A1–B2. For the complete speaking exam, OralPrep simulates the format, tasks and timing and assesses your answers using DELF criteria. For B2 listening comprehension, RFI Français Facile provides free resources. The best choice depends on your target level and the sections you need to work on.
Can you prepare for the DELF for free?
France Éducation international provides official sample papers and assessment grids. RFI Français Facile offers free B2 listening comprehension exercises with answer keys and transcripts. OralPrep offers a free first spoken production evaluation. These resources alone do not replace a programme covering all four skills.
How much does PrepMyFuture’s DELF B1 course cost?
On 29 September 2026, the course page lists €99, while the product page lists €59 and “Sold out”. Twelve months of access are advertised, but these conflicting prices do not establish the amount you would pay or availability. Confirm both with PrepMyFuture before buying.
Is OralPrep enough to prepare for every DELF exam section?
OralPrep simulates the complete A1–B2 speaking exam, from the format to scoring. For the other three DELF sections, you need listening comprehension, reading comprehension and written production resources.
Is an automated score out of 25 an official DELF result?
No. OralPrep uses the DELF assessment criteria to give an indicative score out of 25, not an official result. Feedback uses a transcript of your answers: check the recognised text, since a transcription error can affect the assessment.
